The estate was bought by a farming couple, Grandma Fina and Grandpa Vitor, who restored the old main house, turned the former cattle stalls into small, cosy houses and built a swimming pool, new paths and trails.
On the property there are trails for walking or cycling, a spring, an old windmill with a survey marker and wide views, the hill of a 9th-century Islamic castle, the Torgal stream with the Pego das Laimas pool, and the "poor man's cork oak", where beggars travelling between the farms once spent the night. At the end of the day there is the pool or the nearest beach.
There are eleven houses, from a 22 m² studio to the 90 m² Casa Vale de Gaios, all with TV, air conditioning, kitchen and bathroom; two of them welcome pets. The estate holds the Clean & Safe label.
