Sixteenth-century parish church dedicated to Saint Louis, on the village church square.
São Luís Parish Church, dedicated to the saint who gives the village its name, was built in the 16th century. According to local tradition, it was raised to fulfil a believer's vow.
It is a simple building in the Alentejo religious tradition: a rectangular nave, a sacristy and a square bell tower on the south side, with rendered and whitewashed masonry walls and details painted blue. The doorway has a round arch framed in stone, with an oval window above it.
The church was restored in the 1950s. In that work its three gilded carved altars and its images were lost.
The feast of the patron saint, Saint Louis, is celebrated on 19 August.
It stands on Largo da Igreja, by Rua da Igreja, in the north-west part of the village.
